Review the product details, selected option, and project requirements before adding it to your cart.
Osmo 2104 is an opaque white finish for windows, doors, shutters, trim and other interior or exterior wood. It dries to a lightly glossy surface and is formulated to remain flexible as wood moves, making it easier to maintain than a brittle film coating.
At a glance
- Coverage: Approximately 215 sq ft per liter, per coat
- Coats: 2 thin coats on bare wood; usually 1 maintenance coat
- Drying time: Approximately 10–12 hours between coats
- Dust-dry: Approximately 6 hours
- Apply with: Osmo Flat Brush or microfiber roller
- Color: 2104 White
How to apply
The wood must be clean, dry and frost-free. Remove old paint and lacquer where they would prevent proper adhesion. Stir thoroughly and do not thin.
Apply a thin, even coat in the direction of the grain with a Flat Brush or microfiber roller. Spread it well and allow 10–12 hours to dry with good ventilation. Apply the second coat just as thinly. When recoating a clean, sound existing finish, one maintenance coat is usually enough.
Allow windows to dry thoroughly before closing so coated surfaces do not stick together.
Good to know
The high oil content can cause slight yellowing in dark interior areas. Test unfamiliar substrates and follow Osmo's base-treatment recommendation when additional protection against blue stain, rot or insects is needed.
